LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) was an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James, he's widely considered to be the most successful basketball player ever and is often is compared with Michael Jordan during debates about the greatest basketballer ever. James won two Olympic golds and four NBA titles. James has earned the second most career goals and seventh in assists. James has been chosen as an NBA All-Star 18 times. In addition to being an NBA All-Star, James was chosen to his NBA All-NBA Team on 18 occasions. He has been a part of the 10 NBA Finals, the third-most of all time. The streak spans eight consecutive years between 2011 and 2018. James has been selected for an NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player who has attained 10,000 points or more in rebounds, assists, and points during his professional career, in 2022. James played basketball for St. Vincent St. Mary High school in Akron in Ohio. He was hailed by the national press as the next NBA super star. A prep-to-pro, he was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of the 2003 NBA draft. In his time as the NBA rookie player of 2004, he established his name quickly as one of the most elite athletes in the league, winning the NBA MVP awards for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. James, who was unable to win the championship in Cleveland in 2010, quit as a free-agent and signed with the Miami Heat. This was disclosed in The Decision. It is one of the most controversial decisions made by a player who was a free agent history.
