Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor who is well-known for his part in the popular TV show Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. The first time he became interested in acting was during his college years. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. He has been in films and television, but it was his small-screen characters that brought him fame and an enormous following. The ability of his characters to appear on both sides of law has captured the attention of audiences. He was the voice of a serial killer in his debut television show and then went on to portray the character that of a NYPD detective. He was repeatedly recognized for his work in the highly coveted Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. His most attractive facial feature is believed to be his striking blue eyes that are regarded to be a trademark and have aided in depicting tough characters that have charisma. People's magazine's 2006 list for Sexiest Men Alive included him.
