Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American singer and model from the United States. Also, she was co-starring in Prince's 1984 film, Purple Rain. She was known as the co-star of Prince's 1984 movie Purple Rain, and the singer for the girl band Apollonia 6 The group was just one of the female artists who benefited of Prince's involvement in the 1980s. Patricia Kotero was born in Santa Monica in California in 1959. Her professional career began as a model in the 1970s. She also was a guest on CHiPS. In 1984, Patricia Kotero was chosen to play the lead woman in the movie Prince's Purple Rain. (During this time period, she changed her name.) Kotero and Prince had a fallout regarding her career. The Apollonia6 duo split up, Kotero was not able to remain in her relationship with Prince. The actress appeared in several smaller films, like Purple Rain's sequel Under the Cherry Moon (which she declined) after which she was offered the part of Falcon Crest on the Night-Time drama Falcon Crest from 1985-1986. Apollonia began her professional debut in 1988. The album, R&B/Dance it was a bit stale and didn't leave a lasting impression on those who bought music at the at the time, soon vanished.
