Richards was born at Penarth, Wales. She attended the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Prior to appearing on the BBC's Crash and Being Human, she presented the Mosgito magazine, a Welsh-language teenager magazine. [2] In 2012 she was cast in the FOX comedy Breaking In as an executive assistant, with an over-the-top English accent. 3. In January 2012 , she became a regular Breaking In host. [4][5] Sharon and Sharlto Copley were co-stars in the role of Sharon for Gonzalo Lopez Gallego's horror film Open Grave. She was Barbara Kean on the FOX Television series Gotham from 2014 until 2019. [7] She directed the fifth season's episode "The Trial of Jim Gordon" which debuted on the 7th of March, 2019. [1][8] FOX says that she's currently in a role in an unreleased film by an independent filmmaker, That Good Night with Max Brown and John Hurt. She also appeared in The Quiet Ones, Open Grave and on television in the UK, Being Human. She is a resident of New York, Los Angeles and London.
