Rachel Keller

RachelRachel Keller is a fictional character from The Ring film series. The character was developed by producer-writer Ehren Kruger and voiced by Naomi Watts, serves as the main character in The Ring and The Ring Two which share a number of similarities with Reiko Asakawa from the earlier Japanese films.Introduced in the 2002 film, Rachel is an investigative journalist who must figure out how to avoid the death penalty after viewing a video that was cursed that she came across while investigating the death of her niece. Rachel has to look into the past of Samara Morgan the son of her in The Ring Two. Ruth Rachel's sister has asked Rachel to inquire into the mysterious circumstances that led to Katie's sudden death. Rachel discovers through her that Katie was in good health and that she found Katie's disfigured corpse inside the closet. Katie's friends inform Rachel about the legend surrounding the cursed videotape and that Becca Katie's best friend was confined after Katie's death. Katie's boyfriend, and two of her best friends, all died in mysterious accidents that happened on the same night at 10:30 pm. Rachel journeys to Shelter Mountain Inn to Cabin 12 where Katie and her friends watched the tape that had been cursed. Rachel finds the tape and watches the tape. When the phone rings, it is. Rachel hears a voice utter "seven days". Rachel is able to call Noah Clay, her ex-boyfriend and a video analyst for assistance. Rachel discovers later that Aidan Noah's son watched the tape, as Noah called her. He tells Rachel that the tape is believed by Rachel. Rachel looks through the tape to find the lighthouse and finds it is located on Moesko Island. This was the residence of Anna Morgan, an evil horse breeder who was cursed to be on the cursed tape. Rachel found out that Anna had an adopted child named Samara who could cause disturbing images into the bodies and minds of animals, humans as well as objects. Rachel encounters Anna's widower Richard. Richard makes Rachel go away as soon as she begins asking questions about Samara.
